Tilemachos Moussas was born in 1970 in Thessalonica, Greece. After his studies at Agostini and F. Nakas Contemporary Music Schools he was offered a place and a scholarship to Berklee Music School.
Some of the bands he played in are «Xaxakes», «Ble», «Atractos», «Μethexis», «Acetic Voice», «Medieval Death» while at the moment he plays in “LoveLab” and “Didjidimensions”.
In 2002 he formed his own jazz band “Tilemachos Moussas quintet”.
He has worked with many important musicians such as Damo Suzuki, Lena Norin, Michel Hatzigeorgiou, Katherina Bornefeld, Banu Unuvar, Μarite Sanchez, Κ. Maginas, D. Κamarotos and K. Anastasiadis.
He took part in the music composition of one of M. Mouzakis short films, in the music titles of F. Vlahakis documentary “Can U Feel it” and composed the music for the short film “The stranger” by K. Tsakiris.
Tilemachos composed the music for several plays and performances such as: “Five of us” directed by Evi Dimitrakolou, “Rock Law” and “Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead” written by Erik Bogosian and directed by K. Gakidis, “Cats have seven lives” written by Jenny Erpenbeck and directed by Chryssa Kapsouli, “Ithaki” written by D. Dimitiradis directed by S. Karakantza, “Urban Soma” and “Urban Choma” choreographed by Oliver Hartmann, “Made in In” (d624) performed by Eleni Theofilaktou.
He participated in “Swan Lake City” (choreography by Konstantinos Rigos for the National Theatre of Northern Greece) arranging Tchaikovsky and playing the guitar, as a performer and musician in the play “Dream Odyssey” (music composed by D. kamarotos and directed by Chryssa Kapsouli for The National Theatre of Northern Greece) and has created and presented an audiovisual experiment called the Tsunami Project.
Tilemachos has played and performed in many well known concert halls in Paris, Amsterdam, Istanbul and in Festivals all over the world such as: Oriente Occidente Festival 2005 Italy, IX Festival International de Danca Contemporanea 2005 Faro Portugal, Mostra Sesc de Artes Mediterraneo Festival 2005 Sao Paolo Brazil, Biennale 2004 Lyon France, Arts Festival 2004 Singapore, European Monodrama Festival 2004 Bitola FYROM, International Festival The actor of Europe 2004 Otesevo FYROM, 2nd Athens Video Art Festival 2006 Athens Greece, Strings Of Difference Festival 2006 Athens Greece, Παρα θιν αλος jazz festival 2002 - 2003 Thessalonica Greece.
He participates in the board of directors of Thessalonica’ s “Jazz and Creative Music Club” and works as an educator.
